The Primary Annual Day of Grace Academy was celebrated with grandeur on the 20th of November, 2024, in the school auditorium. The event showcased the exceptional talents and vibrant enthusiasm of the Primary Section students, leaving an indelible mark on all attendees.

The program commenced with an invocation delivered by Sir R. Khartu Monsang, a distinguished and esteemed parent of Grace Academy, followed by an inspiring address by the Administrator, Sir Ketoulhou Sekhose.

Each class presented captivating and unique performances, reflecting creativity, teamwork, and dedication. The event also provided a platform to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of both students and teachers over the past year.

The following awards were conferred:

On 7th November 2024, a highly engaging quiz competition was organized for Grade 7 and Grade 8 students. The event aimed to evaluate students’ knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking across various subjects while fostering a spirit of healthy competition and collaboration.
Selection and Team Formation
All students participated in an initial selection round, from which 12 students from each grade were shortlisted. These students were grouped into teams of four members each to compete in the final rounds.

The event commenced with an invocation, seeking God’s blessings for a successful program. Each team displayed commendable proficiency and unity as they tackled the diverse and thought-provoking rounds. The competition was meticulously planned to balance intellectual stimulation and engagement, encouraging participants to think critically and work collaboratively.
The atmosphere remained vibrant, with participants confidently answering questions and the audience actively cheering and participating in dedicated audience segments. The program ensured a well-rounded experience, combining learning with entertainment.

On November 15, 2024 the students of Classes 7 and 8 embarked on a much-anticipated excursion to Green Park, accompanied by their class teachers, Miss Chubatila (Class 7), Miss Menuole-ü (Class 8), and the Art Teacher, Sir Imkongmar. The group departed in high spirits and arrived at the park promptly at 9:00 am.

The day unfolded with a series of exhilarating activities that captivated the students’ enthusiasm. They engaged in boating, cycling, bull rides, jet skiing, and explored the haunted house. Additional attractions such as the mirror maze and shooting games provided a blend of entertainment and challenges, making the outing thoroughly enjoyable. The experience fostered camaraderie among peers and allowed students to connect with their teachers in a relaxed and informal setting.

At noon, the students gathered to share a delightful lunch, exchanging stories and laughter from their morning adventures. The group concluded the day by returning to school at 2:00 pm, their smiles reflecting the joy and satisfaction of a well-spent day.

This outing to Green Park was a refreshing break from routine, offering students an opportunity to relax, engage with nature, and strengthen their bonds with one another. Heartfelt appreciation goes to the accompanying teachers for their meticulous planning and unwavering support in ensuring the success of this enriching experience.

The Exhibition for the class Nursery was held on the 7th of October, 2024. The event began with a warm welcome from the host, Miss Vikhozonuo Kire, and an invocation led by Miss Benli.

The exhibition featured ten unique stalls, each showcasing a variety of themes and activities. These included a games stall, a creativity center, a storytelling corner, and math-related displays like building blocks and geometric shapes. Other stalls focused on essential topics such as hygiene with a “Tooth Fairies” theme, basic farming, and engaging activities like an alphabet-spinning game.

Students actively participated in presenting their topics, putting their best efforts into explaining and demonstrating their projects. They took turns confidently engaging with the audience, involving them in the activities by asking questions, inviting them to play games and win prizes, and even trying out the models on display.

Parents and other visitors thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition, showing great enthusiasm for the creative displays and interactive activities. Their applause and appreciation reflected the hard work and dedication of the students. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Miss Zeveteu Ladu, followed by a benediction led by Miss Reni, marking the end of a memorable and successful event.

The annual Quiz Competition for Class 1 was held on 27th September 2024 in the School Auditorium. This fun and engaging event provided a great opportunity for young students to demonstrate their curiosity, knowledge, and teamwork skills. The competition was designed to not only test the students’ grasp of different subjects but also to encourage them to think critically, work together, and develop a passion for learning.

The quiz consisted of questions from a variety of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Computer. The rounds were carefully structured to challenge students in different areas, stimulating their minds and encouraging friendly competition. The event was hosted by the Quizmasters, Ma’am Spurna, Class Teacher of Class  and MissTemjenjungla, 

The competition, which took place from :00 a.m. to  a.m., involved 16 students, divided into 4 teams of 4 participants each. The quiz featured six exciting rounds that tested the students’ knowledge across different topics. The first round, Linguistic Trivia, challenged students with questions from the English language, each team member was asked one individual question related to language skills. The second round, Art Quest, tested their basic art knowledge. In the third round, Spelling Rapid Fire Round, this round focused on quick recall of sight words spelling knowledge. The participants were asked to respond rapidly to each word within the 30-second time limit. The fourth round, Hindi Hurdles Worksheet Round, each team was given two worksheets to complete. Team members had one minute to work together and solve the worksheet. If they answered incorrectly or failed to answer a question, negative marks were deducted. This round tested both teamwork and knowledge of the Hindi language. The fifth round, Division Activity Round, for this round, each team nominated two members to participate in an activity related to division. The nominated students were given 2 minutes and 30 seconds to answer one division problem. They had to press the buzzer once they had completed their answer. Team discussion was not allowed, and the pressure was on to answer quickly and accurately. The sixth round, Tech Trivia, In this round, teams were given a single activity question related to technology. Team members could collaborate to solve the problem, and they had 3 minutes to complete the task. This round encouraged critical thinking and teamwork as students worked together to solve the problem in the allotted time. And the last round, EVS Insights, assessed the team’s individual knowledge of environmental science topics, promoting awareness and learning in the subject.

The competition was filled with excitement, with each team doing their best to answer questions correctly and quickly. After an engaging and challenging quiz, the results were announced. Team 1, made up of Gabriel , Edna, Hikeno, and Dinen, took the 1st place trophy. Team 4, consisting of Agnes Nemdeikim Hangshing, Toinoto Sumi, Helufoheing  and Prisha Rai, earned the 2nd place. Team 3, with Eliren, Moanen, Gezia and Aaric finished in 3rd place. Lastly, Team 4, featuring Andrew, Sahas, Atotimi and Yimyala came in 4th place.

The Class 1 Quiz Competition was a huge success, showcasing the enthusiasm, intelligence, and teamwork of all the students. The event not only fostered a spirit of healthy competition but also highlighted the importance of learning in a fun and interactive way. Congratulations to all the participants for their hard work and dedication.

The Kindergarten Spelling Bee Competition for Class B, hosted by Class B teachers Miss Vinita and Miss Moasenla, took place on 8th November 2024. The event commenced with a heartfelt prayer by Miss Vikho , setting a positive tone for the competition. With 16 students competing in four teams, the excitement was palpable. Following a rigorous preliminary test, these students were selected to showcase their talents . The competition brought together kindergarten students, teachers, and parents to celebrate academic excellence and showcase exceptional talents. The event aimed to encourage a love for language, learning, and spelling among our youngest learners. This competition provided a platform for students to demonstrate their spelling skills, promote healthy competition and teamwork among participants.

The event featured with various rounds, testing students’ knowledge of vocabulary and spelling. The audience enthusiastically supported their favorite teams, fostering a lively atmosphere.
Students demonstrated remarkable confidence, poise, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The Kindergarten Spelling Bee Competition was a resounding success, achieving its objectives and exceeding expectations. The event showcased the incredible talents of our youngest learners and reinforced our commitment to academic excellence.

The event began with a warm welcome from the host, who set a positive tone by acknowledging the efforts of the participants and the presence of esteemed guests. The invocation prayer, led by Miss Menuole-u, added a solemn and encouraging start to the competition.

The host introduced the distinguished panel of judges, including Sir Samuel, Sir Siku, and Miss Chubatila, who were tasked with evaluating the projects based on presentation, creativity, and programming skills. The much-anticipated moment arrived with Miss Chubatila announcing the winners.

Second position received by Class 6 – Classroom Crusaders (Anna, Joyce, Kongmong, Kenei, Tsuzolu)

Third position received by Class 8 -Fruity Bytes (Niuke, Wonjanbeni, Holuholi)

While the winners deservedly earned their accolades, all participants were celebrated for their contributions, as every project was a testament to hard work and dedication.Certificates were distributed to all participants by the school’s Administrator and teachers, recognizing their outstanding efforts and achievements in the competition.

The event concluded with a benediction by Miss Bendanglila, followed by a heartfelt thank-you from the host. Special appreciation was extended to the judges, teachers, and students for their roles in making the competition a grand success. Participants were encouraged to keep learning and innovating, with a reminder that this event marks the beginning of many future achievements.

Grace Academy recently hosted an exciting Badminton and Table Tennis competition for students from Class 3 to Class 8. This eagerly anticipated event took place on 29th August, 2024, with students showcasing their skills, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. The competition included two categories: singles and doubles, allowing students to participate individually as well as in teams, fostering both personal skill development and teamwork.

The Table Tennis matches were held in the school auditorium, providing a lively atmosphere where students and teachers alike came together to cheer for the young athletes. Meanwhile, the Badminton events took place in the multi-purpose hall, which was well-equipped for the fast-paced matches. Both venues offered ample space for players to perform at their best, and the atmosphere was electric as spectators encouraged each player.

These sports are more than just physical activities; they play an essential role in a student’s development. Badminton and Table Tennis are both excellent for enhancing reflexes, agility, and hand-eye coordination, and they also teach valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Such competitions promote a spirit of healthy competition and motivate students to stay active and engaged in sports.
