On 12th October, 2023, the Kindergarten students along with the teachers set out on a highly anticipated trip to the Zoological park, Dimapur. The students, brimming with excitement, were prepared with sun hats, sunglasses, water bottles, and lunchboxes filled with delicious goodies. Our day at the zoo promised a delightful encounter with various animals, including jackals, deer, wolves, an array of monkey species, and captivating birds. It was an adventure we won’t soon forget.

In addition to our incredible zoo visit, we had the privilege of making a significant contribution to the conservation efforts. Our school, recognizing the importance of preserving and protecting wildlife, donated a tortoise to the zoo.The tortoise, now a part of the zoo’s conservation program, symbolizes our dedication to safeguarding these remarkable creatures and their habitats. The students were proud to be a part of this noble endeavor, understanding that every small action contributes to the greater cause of wildlife conservation.

During our zoo trip, we had the opportunity to walk around and learn not only about the animals’ appearances and types but also about their essential aspects, such as their food habits, shelter, and body coverings. After an enriching and informative tour, we found a tranquil spot to rest and enjoy our well-prepared lunch, a perfect way to refuel and reflect on the fascinating things we had learned about the animal kingdom.

Our day at the zoo was filled with joy, laughter, and a wealth of knowledge. The students’ enthusiasm and curiosity were infectious, and they actively engaged with the animals and the lessons presented by the teachers as we stroll around the zoo. We left with a deeper understanding of the importance of wildlife conservation and the need to protect the incredible creatures we encountered. Our fun-filled adventure at the zoo will be cherished as a memorable day of learning and appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom.
