A Reading Competition was held on 10th November, 2023 for class 3 at the Grace Academy Auditorium. It was an individual event that aimed to foster a love for reading among the students, Students of class 3 participated in the competition making it a successful and an engaging event. 

A screening was conducted where 16 students went through for the competition. The competition had two rounds where the students were given stories to read randomly. The students were judged based on certain criterias such as – punctuation, pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency and time management.

Out of 16, the top 6 students were selected for the round-2 and the winners were selected out of the top 6 participants.

The winners of the reading competition were as follows.

1st Position    – Meshenhi Seb   

2nd Position   – Abigail D. Sangma

3rd Position   – Rushanthung Ethan Ezung

The aim of this reading competition was to foster a love for literature, enhance reading skills, and promote a culture of literacy among students. By engaging individuals in a friendly and challenging environment, these reading competitions encouraged participants to explore diverse genres, improve comprehension abilities, and develop critical thinking skills.
