Class Nursery
On the first day of the class, all my twelve students were present. Some kids were crying but we started our classes by singing some rhymes and action songs. After Hearing us sing, most of them stopped crying. Some of them were really happy and sang along with us. Then we gave them playing dough and let them create their own shapes. We played with the balloons and had fun while playing with it. Then we made a big circle and sang the ‘ring-a-roses’ song and everyone really enjoyed the game. We also went to the activity room and watched videos. Some of them played with the toys in the activity room. At the end of the day, everyone got tired but I was really happy to see the students and we all had a memorable day.
Class A
Our first day started with a lot of interaction, in that process we got to know each other. We carried out several activities on numbers and alphabet where we used molding dough to make the shapes of the letter and numbers in that way the children engaged themselves in a busy classroom task given to them.
To conclude our day, we made a crown craft which read as “I rocked my first day of Kindergarten” where every student participated by decorating it and coloring the crown. Their interest and enthusiasm showed on the first day was indeed something to be applaud for. Different personality of the children inside my classroom makes my classroom more interesting to teach. The first day of the school was never better. Thinking of the day wistfully, I enjoy the sensation of the memories we all made after a wonderful first day in school.
Class B
On the first day, 7 students were present except for one who could not attend the class. We started our day by learning our five classroom rules which the students are expected to follow them. We recited the numbers and alphabets based on their previous learning. The students made different shapes with the help of spatial disc. Students were also given papers to write down the upper and lower case alphabets.
Class 1
On the first day, there were eight students present out of thirteen students in Class 1. All had different personalities and interest but same enthusiasm. Firstly, the students were introduced to each other and were enlightened with the classroom rules which they are expected to follow throughout the year.
The next class, the students were given a paper each to write their names to check their handwriting and play dough to make different shapes and characters and some activities on math and science were done based on their previous learning. The students were taught how to make a shark with a paper and communicate through it in order to break their silence and communicate with each other.
Class 2
The day started good with all the new students coming and getting to meet them for the first time.
The total number of students in Class 2 was eleven and out of which three of them were from ‘Grace Academy’ itself whiles the rest of the students from different schools. Since it was the first day for the children as well as for me, there was an interaction with the students so that I get to know more about them. The children were made to introduce themselves and from which school they excelled their previous classes. After the completion of their introduction, the rest of the hours for the day were spent doing activities. The children were made to mimic the sounds of animals while the others were to guess the names of animals. There were also other activities conducted as well as some games to check their knowledge based on their previous subject content. There was also some discussions and interactions about discipline and manners.
