Poem Recitation Competition was held on 22nd<\/sup>\nMarch 2019. There were three categories for the competition: Class 1, Class 2 and\nClass 3. The students were given six-eight poems each from which the student\nhad to choose one poem and recite in the competition. The students were judged\non the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Physical\nPresence                   <\/strong>:\nAuthoritative:  body language shows\ncompelling stage presence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voice and Articulation  <\/strong>    \n   : Very clear, crisp, mastery of\nrhythm and pace, skillful use of volume and intonation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dramatic Appropriateness  \n<\/strong>: Style of delivery reflects\ninternalization of poem: all gestures and movement feel essential to poem\u2019s\nsuccess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evidence of understanding   <\/strong>: Masterfully interprets the poem for the audience, deftly\nrevealing the   meaning of the poem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall Performance <\/strong>            : Captivating\nperformance- whole equals \u201cmore than the sum of the parts\u201d: shows mastery of\nrecitation skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
