The event aimed to foster a love for writing and to enhance the students&#8217; ability to express their ideas clearly and concisely.<\/span><\/p><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through such events, the school aims:<\/span><\/h4><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To encourage students to develop their writing skills.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To provide an opportunity for students to explore topics from their course material.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To assess students&#8217; understanding and articulation of course concepts.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To foster healthy competition and reward excellence in writing.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across grades 5 to 8. Each student was given a topic relevant to their course material, which ensured that they could relate to and articulate their thoughts effectively.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The topics were carefully selected to align with the students&#8217; current curriculum. This helped in testing not only their writing skills but also their understanding of the subject matter. Each grade had a distinct set of topics tailored to their academic level:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grade 5:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Life in the Hot Desert<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grade 6:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Fighting Stereotypes and Celebrating Diversity<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grade 7:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Importance of Democracy in the modern world<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grade 8:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Right to Education: Empowering the Youth for a Brighter Future<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The essays were judged by the respective class teachers based on the following criteria:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Content Relevance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> How well the essay addressed the given topic.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Creativity and Originality:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The uniqueness of ideas and approach.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Clarity and Coherence:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Logical flow and organization of thoughts.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Grammar and Language:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Correct usage of grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Overall Presentation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Neatness and adherence to guidelines.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each grade had three winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).
