On April 28, 2026, the students of Class IV went on an educational outing to Lengri Tea Estate in Balijan. A total of 39 students, along with 4 teachers, participated in the visit.

The excitement among the students was evident from the very beginning. Having learned about tea cultivation in their Social Studies classes—especially its growth in different parts of Assam and the northern mountain regions—they were eager to see everything up close. The students came well prepared with their bags and essentials for the outing, and their enthusiasm was clearly visible as they set off for the tea garden.

Upon arrival, the students were greeted by the vast stretches of lush green tea bushes, neatly arranged and spreading as far as the eye could see. The fresh air and scenic beauty added to the joy of the experience. As they walked through the tea estate, the students observed the surroundings with great curiosity and interest.

A particularly engaging moment was watching the women workers carefully and skillfully pluck fresh tea leaves. The students were fascinated to learn that only the tender leaves are selected. They eagerly interacted with the workers, asking questions and listening attentively to their explanations. The process of plucking, collecting, and transporting the leaves to the factory was explained, giving students a clearer understanding of the journey from leaf to cup.

The outing was not just about learning—it was also filled with laughter, exploration, and shared moments with friends and teachers. The students enjoyed their meals together amidst nature, making the experience even more special.

Overall, the visit to the tea estate was both informative and enjoyable. It provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect their classroom learning with real-world practices, while also appreciating the hard work involved in tea production. The day was truly enriching and left everyone with happy memories to cherish.
