Grace Academy School held its charity week for the year 2022 from 6th – 10th June.
The school and the students generously donated things like stationeries, rations,
edibles, toiletries and some in cash.

The students were divided into four groups
i.e. Group 1- Class 1a & 1b, Group 2- Class 2, 3a & 3b, Group 3- Class 4, 5 & 6, Group
4- Kindergarten Section.

Class 1a & 1b got the privilege to visit ‘Prodigals Home’ which is an NGO based mainly
for women and children located at Fellowship Colony, Dimapur Nagaland. It was a
shelter for the homeless people, orphans, children with special needs and many more.
Overall it was a home welcomed for everyone who is in need and in distress. The
teachers coordinated with the children of ‘Prodigals Home’ and conducted
a program where the students and teachers took part.

Class 2 and 3 had the opportunity to visit Deaf Biblical Ministry (DBM), Phaipijang
Naharbari, Dimapur. It is a residential school for the deaf and abandoned
children, The students also got the opportunity to learn many things from the students of
DBM like how to pray, clap, solve mathematical sums, express thank you etc. in sign
languages, a brief program with the students of DBM and Grace Academy
was organised where the students and teachers took part by presenting songs, reading scriptures, poems and sharing.

Students of class 4, 5 and 6 of the school visited the Rintaniemi Neighbourhood
Children Home. The Rintaniemi Neighbourhood Children Home is an undertaking of the
International Neighbourhood Service Society. It started in the year 2005 for the
underprivileged children. It is located in Midland, Dimapur. A short programme
was arranged as a means to interact with the children.

The students of kindergarten section displayed their charitable act by
distributing the collected items to the community of G.C Paira Colony,
Burma Camp. Kindness challenge was another highlight (of the charity
week) as children were encouraged to practice random acts of kindness
each day.

The Director, Administrators of the shelter homes expressed their
happiness and gratitude towards Grace Academy for the visit and the
generous charity.
