Class 1 General Quiz Competition 2025
The Class 1 General Quiz Competition 2025 was held on 18th June 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, at the School Auditorium. The event was hosted by Madam Spurna (Class Teacher of 1A) and Miss Ajung (Class Teacher of 1B), and served as a vibrant showcase of learning, teamwork, and curiosity. Students from four selected teams competed across multiple engaging rounds, cheered on by parents, teachers, and fellow classmates.
The competition commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an invocation by Miss Vinika. The four participating teams—The Quizzards, Mighty Minds, Mind Minions, and Wise Wizards—introduced themselves with great confidence, setting an enthusiastic tone for the afternoon.
Quiz Rounds Overview
The competition featured eight thoughtfully designed rounds aimed at testing both subject knowledge and practical skills. The event began with the Grammar & Reader Quest, assessing students’ understanding of grammar rules and reading comprehension. This was followed by the Story Sequencing Race, (Activity – Buzzer Round), teams arranged parts of a story following the Beginning-Middle-End (BME) method using magnetic boards, enhancing their logical thinking and teamwork skills. Creativity took center stage in the Art Adventures round, where students identified art elements through visual prompts. In the Hindi Hurdles round (Teacher Incharge: Miss Kali), teams collaborated to complete worksheets that tested their grasp of Hindi vocabulary and sentence construction. The competition then moved into numbers with the Hands-On Maths: Fractions & Abacus Fun! Round (Teacher Incharge: Miss Libo), a buzzer challenge where teams solved fraction and abacus problems in real-time. This was followed by The Half It, Double It, Solve It! (Teacher Incharge: Miss Libo & Miss Meenakshi) A rapid fire round was a fast-paced challenge designed to test students’ quick mental math skills. Each team nominated one member who had 60 seconds to answer as many questions as possible, earning points for every correct response.In the Tech Activity Round, teams demonstrated their understanding of basic formatting and computer functions in a collaborative problem-solving task. Finally, the quiz concluded with the EVS Explorers round, which encouraged awareness of environmental topics through a mix of theory and visual questions.
Special Segments
In addition to the main quiz rounds, two interactive Audience Rounds were conducted. Class 2 students participated in a grammar-based activity focused on article usage, while Class 1 students tackled abacus challenges. The audience was actively engaged throughout.
A memorable highlight was the Parents’ Round, where selected parent volunteers enthusiastically participated in a fun abacus activity, adding a sense of excitement and community spirit to the event.
Declaration of Results & Closing Ceremony
The event concluded with the declaration of winners by Madam Spurna, keeping the audience and participants in great suspense. The winning teams were awarded certificates, and the celebration was further enhanced by the presence of the School Administrator, Sir Kethoulou Sekhose, who joined in congratulating the students. Miss Ajung extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the Administrator, Sir Kethoulou Sekhose, for his unwavering support and guidance. The efforts of the organizing teachers, enthusiastic parents, and dedicated students. Madam Spurna encouraged all participants to continue learning with joy and concluded the event with a meaningful benediction. A cheerful group photo session followed, featuring all participants, teachers, and parents — a perfect way to capture the joy of the occasion.
