On September 2nd, 2024, Grace Academy hosted its highly anticipated Annual Poem Recitation Competition for Kindergarten students. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the young learners’ exceptional language skills, confidence, creativity, and personal growth.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from Kindergarten students, who recited poems with remarkable poise and expression. The judges were impressed by the students’ ability to convey emotions, maintain eye contact, and engage the audience.
The participants were judged based on the following criteria :
– Introduction: Engaging the audience with a captivating start.
– Pronunciation and Clarity: Clear and accurate pronunciation of words.
– Expression and Emotion: Conveying emotions and meaning through facial expressions and tone of voice.
– Voice Modulation: Effective use of volume, pitch, and rhythm to engage the audience.
– Engagement with the Audience: Maintaining eye contact and involving the listeners.
– Confidence and Poise: Displaying self-assured demeanor throughout the presentation.
The Poem Recitation Competition is an excellent opportunity for Kindergarten students to develop essential skills, build confidence, and showcase their talents. The winners of the competition were awarded certificates, recognizing their outstanding performances.
