Outings are always a delightful blend of enjoyment and learning. They play an important role in supporting children’s social, emotional, mental, and physical development. Keeping this in mind, the students of Class B went for an educational and recreational outing to the Stone Sculpture Garden on 27th February.
A total of 52 students, accompanied by 4 teachers and 2 ayas, set out for the trip with great enthusiasm. The excitement among the children was clearly visible from the very beginning. They came well-prepared and eager for the outing. During the journey, the bus was filled with cheerful laughter, songs, and lively conversations, making the ride enjoyable for everyone.
Upon reaching the venue, the students were delighted to see the beautiful surroundings. The garden, filled with unique and creative stone sculptures, immediately caught their attention. As they explored the area, they carefully observed the different shapes and artistic carvings displayed around the garden. While observing one of the sculptures, Sofia looked at it with great curiosity and asked, “Who made this sculpture?” This showed the children’s keen interest in learning about the art and craftsmanship behind the beautiful stone carvings.
Another interesting moment occurred when Lisenli noticed a sculpture of a mother carrying a boy with a bag. Pointing at it, she said, “Miss, look! A mother is carrying her child. I think he’s going to school.” When the teacher asked why she thought so, she replied, “Because he is carrying a school bag,” and happily added, “My mummy also carries me sometimes.” Her observation brought smiles to everyone and showed how children connect what they see with their own experiences.
Upon arriving at the park area, Liniu observed that there were not many play items like slides or seesaws. Listening to this, Likuvu thoughtfully said, “Miss, I think the park is still incomplete, right? They will add more next time.” Their conversation showed how the children were carefully observing their surroundings and sharing their ideas with curiosity.
At the same time, a Spring Fest was being organized at the Stone Park, where people from different states were rehearsing for their performances. The students were delighted to watch them practice and were excited to see the colorful costumes and lively preparations. It was a joyful experience for the children as they observed the performers getting ready for the event. The performers warmly greeted the students, and the children happily exchanged greetings with them. When it was time for the group to depart, the students waved goodbye to the performers, who also waved back with warm smiles, making the moment even more special and memorable.
The children also spent time exploring the open space and play area. They happily played together, ran around freely, and enjoyed the fresh air. Their laughter and cheerful voices filled the garden as they shared joyful moments with their classmates and teachers.
The students also made good use of the huts available at the venue to rest and enjoy their lunch together. Sitting in small groups, they happily shared their meals while chatting and laughing with their friends. This time of relaxation added to the joy of the outing and encouraged a sense of togetherness among the students, teachers, and ayas.
After spending quality time playing and exploring, the group gathered for a photo session to capture the memorable moments of the outing. The children were excited to pose with their friends and teachers, preserving the joyful memories of the day. With hearts full of happiness and minds enriched with new experiences, everyone prepared to return to school.
The outing was truly a fun-filled and enriching experience for the students. Before leaving the park, Baukam happily said, “Miss, today I had lots of fun in the park.” When asked if he would like to visit again, he immediately replied “Yes,” with a bright smile on his face. The outing not only provided recreation but also allowed the children to learn and explore outside the classroom. The smiles and excitement on their faces clearly showed how much they enjoyed the day, making it a memorable outing for everyone.
