On 16 May 2026, the Grade 2 students of Sections A and B went on a recreational outing to Piphema Park. A total of 51 students participated in the trip. The students were accompanied by Ma’am Regina, Miss Chubasangla, Miss Vinika, Sir Imnoksair, Sir Limhathung, and helper Jasmin.

The journey to the park was long but exciting. The students sang songs, chatted with their friends, and enjoyed the bus ride. During the journey, one student, Mughawoto, complained of stomach pain and felt slightly unwell. He was given a Digene tablet and soon felt better. Thankfully, no other students became sick or suffered any injuries during the trip.

We reached Piphema Park at around 10:00 a.m. The students were thrilled to explore the beautiful surroundings. One of the highlights of the outing was climbing the viewpoint tower. This helped the students connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences, especially the lesson on landforms. They were amazed to observe mountains, hills, and valleys from a closer view and gained a better understanding of these geographical features.

The students enjoyed their packed lunches and spent time playing and exploring the park. Some students, who had permission from their parents, also enjoyed meals from KFC and Pizza Hut located nearby.

After spending about three hours at the park, we began our return journey at 1:00 p.m. Although the weather became hot and humid as we reached Chümoukedima, the students remained cheerful and enjoyed the ride back. We reached the school at around 3:00 p.m., dropping students safely at their designated junctions along the way.

The outing was both educational and recreational. It provided the students with an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, appreciate nature, and create wonderful memories with their friends and teachers. It was a tiring but enjoyable day that everyone will cherish for a long time.
