Class A Outing to Pelke, 2026

5 October 2026← All school news

An outing is a wonderful opportunity for children, as it gives them a chance to step outside their usual classroom setting and experience something new. For children, even a simple trip can become an opportunity to explore, observe, ask questions, and enjoy time together with their friends. Keeping this purpose in view, Class A went on an educational outing to Pelke on 15th of September 2026.

The children arrived at school dressed and prepared for the day, with all their essentials packed, shades and hats on. Their excitement was evident as they gathered together, eagerly waiting for the journey to begin. With cheerful faces and lots of enthusiasm, they were ready to explore, have fun and make happy memories with their friends. A total number of 41 students, accompanied by 5 teachers and 3 caregivers took part in the outing.

The journey to the destination was filled with laughter, songs, and cheerful conversations. As the bus travelled along the familiar roads, some children became excited when they recognized the routes leading towards their homes. One child happily called out and said “Miss, look! I’ll show you my house”. While some children wondered why the bus was taking a different road from the one they usually take. Their little observations and conversations made the journey lively and enjoyable.

Upon arrival the children were delighted to see the new surroundings. They explored the area with curiosity and enthusiasm, enjoying the opportunity to run around and play with their friends. As part of the outing, colouring sheets were also given out to the children. The activity brought out some delightful little conversations among them. Kekhriesinuo looked at Kinsanwi’s drawing and asked, “why are you colouring green?” Kinsanwi replied, “The grass is always green.” Kekhriesinuo then added, “Ohh, but some are brown.” Then again Hezenketba noticed that one of his friends was colouring the cloud blue, so he called the teacher, saying “Miss look! He is colouring the clouds blue, clouds are white and not blue.” This simple exchange showed how naturally the students observe their surroundings and expressed their thoughts in their own little ways.

The outing gave the children an opportunity to interact with their friends, share materials, take turns and enjoy an activity together. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the experience lively and enjoyable throughout the day.

As the outing came to an end, the children returned to school with happy faces and many little stories to share. Overall, the outing was a joyful and enriching experience for the students. It provided them with an opportunity to explore a new environment, express their creativity, interact with their friends, and learn through simple experiences beyond the usual classroom.
