The General Quiz Competition 2026 for Class IV was conducted on 8 September 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The competition was organised to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, quick thinking, teamwork and ability to respond confidently in a competitive setting. The event also aimed to make learning engaging by incorporating a variety of quiz formats and activities.
The programme began with the Invocation by Miss Withuinile, followed by the introduction of the participants and the quiz format. A total of 16 participants took part in the competition. The top eight students from each class, selected on the basis of their performance in the Second Terminal Examination, qualified for the screening round, from which the 16 finalists were selected.
The quiz was conducted by Miss Rongsenkala and Miss Keneiwenou as Quizmasters. The competition consisted of seven rounds designed to assess students’ knowledge and skills across different areas. Round 1, “Quiz Buzz,” focused on General Quiz questions based on English Reader and English Grammar. Round 2, “Art Attack,” based on the Zoom in thinking routine tested the participants’ observation and artistic abilities. Round 3, “Tech Connect,” based on the FMS logo was conducted as an activity under the guidance of Miss Bendangmenla, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of technology through an engaging task.
The competition also included three audience rounds. Audience Round 1, coordinated by Miss Prema, was a General Quiz for Class IV students. This was followed by Round 4, “Rapid Fire,” which covered Science and Mathematics and required participants to answer questions quickly and accurately. Round 5, “Hindi Gyan,” was conducted under the guidance of Miss Enali and tested the participants’ knowledge of Hindi.
Audience Round 2, coordinated by Miss Mhachoni, was conducted for Class V students. Round 6, the Buzzer Round, focused on Social Studies and tested the participants’ knowledge, speed and alertness. The final round, Round 7, “Math Mania,” was conducted as an activity under the guidance of Sir Ved, bringing the competition to an engaging conclusion.
The third audience round was conducted for parents, who participated enthusiastically in the quiz. Their participation added a special element to the event and encouraged interaction between the school community and parents. Three winners emerged from the parents’ round.
Following the completion of all the rounds, the results were announced by the Moderator. The participants secured the following positions:

The winners were presented with certificates by the Headmistress Madam Abigail. The parents of the winners were also invited on stage, making the prize distribution a memorable moment for the students and their families.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Miss Keneiwenou, followed by the Benediction by Miss Mhachoni.
The General Quiz Competition 2026 was an enriching and enjoyable experience for the students. The varied rounds encouraged not only academic knowledge but also quick thinking, creativity, collaboration, confidence and active participation. The enthusiastic involvement of the students, teachers and parents contributed to the success of the event and made it a meaningful learning experience for the Class IV students.
